The services and assistance provided through the office of Chitalmari Upazila Poverty Alleviation Officer are as follows: -

01. To form associations for the purpose of socio-economic development of the rural poor and for the empowerment of the intended population.

02. To provide training on various activities to them after the formation of the association.

03. At the end of the training, to distribute micro loans among the members in income generating activities.

04. Develop the habit of making small savings among the members for future security and building their own capital.

05. Deposit savings on a monthly basis (Sonali Savings Scheme).

06. Advantage of receiving money in term by depositing one time money.

07. Distribution of Small Enterprise (SME) loans for the purpose of creating small entrepreneurs.

08. To install solar power system for the people deprived of electricity facilities in the villages.

09. To provide leadership development training for the purpose of creating skilled leaders.

10. Provide training on social development.

11. Provide partech training.

12. Provide solar customer training.

13. To prevent violence against women and children and to create awareness against dowry system.

14. To motivate the members of the association about tree planting and sanitation and to distribute tree saplings free of cost.

15. Raising awareness about family planning.

16. Provide support for ideas and prevention of 6 deadly diseases in children.

17. Provide assistance in dealing with natural disasters.
